“Brothers — at this time, we have 70 dues paying members. We host 2 functions a year where brothers can reconnect and reminisce about the good ol’ days.
Our annual event in Fayetteville will take place Saturday, April 25th and be unique to the vast majority of us. We will get to witness a ground breaking ceremony that has been almost a decade in the making. To date, the capital campaign has received 166 donations/pledges totaling $3.4 million towards renovating a place that many of us called home during our time at the University.
This is where my best college memories took place. This is where I made my best friends. This is where I laughed while I was there and cried when I had to leave.
I want to say thank you for those who have given. The generosity by such a small number of brothers amazes me. For those of you that haven’t given, I urge you to do so. You might ask why should I give — I would ask you why wouldn’t you give?
The reason I gave is a simple one: I wanted to give back to a fraternity that gave me so much.
I am proud to be a Lambda Chi. I am proud to be a member of our chapter. I hope you are as well and will join me and 165 others in giving to an institution that gave so much more than we could give back in return.
To date, 2469 young men have been initiated with that number growing every semester. Future students and parents are counting on us to give in order to provide a great atmosphere for their sons to grow, laugh, cry and make once in a lifetime memories.
At this time, the chapter has no debt. When we hand over the keys to the new house, let’s not give them a newly renovated house and $2.2 million in debt. Let’s give them a renovated house paid for with our generosity and memories.
Join me in this worthy endeavor.
